Since 1991, the Utah Microloan Fund has loaned up to $50,000 to small business owners throughout the state. Driven by a mission to empower underserved communities in the state, the Fund doesn’t stop at monetary help. They also teach business courses in financials, social media and marketing, strategy and planning, and hiring to both founders in the startup phases and owners of existing businesses. As a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), the Fund is specially designated to serve organizations in low-income communities that lack access to traditional financing opportunities.
