The Suazo Business Center is committed to serving minority-owned businesses in Utah. The Center was created in 2001 in honor of Senator Pete Suazo and helps entrepreneurs not only build their startups but also assists in the day-to-day operations of existing businesses. In the last fiscal year alone, the Suazo Business Center helped create 265 businesses, earning $42 million in revenue. In 2023, the Center was awarded Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) certification, a designation that will continue to empower the Center to service low-income communities.
