The University of Utah’s J. Willard Marriott Library is one of 90+ U.S. Patent and Trademark Resource Centers (PTRCs) in the country from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). These resource centers provide the public with various trademark and patent assistance. It’s one of two in the state of Utah.
PTRC representatives are librarians trained to teach intellectual property basics and how to use search tools to access patent and trademark information. PTRC representatives are not attorneys and cannot provide legal advice.
